Parker drives point home

This one was for all the doubters, the ones who said Steelers running back Willie Parker wasn't good enough to start at the University of North Carolina. Parker's nondescript college career put his professional future in doubt, left him undrafted and delivered him to the Steelers. Sunday was payback time for Parker, who rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers 37-3 win over the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium.

At his postgame press conference, Parker started by saying all of the right things. He talked about how happy he was to help the Steelers win their third consecutive game and how much it meant for him to have a big game in front of about 60 friends and family members. Continue
